The project leader will:
- Make sure team members are on task.
- Be the one to pose questions to the teacher.
- Create a PowerPoint presentation that will include:
- First slide- include the title and team members names
- Second slide- a paragraph of the history of school gardens
- Third slide - 5 major benefits of the school garden
- Fourth slide- list the six plants with their information
- Fifth slide-list the tools with their information
- Sixth slide-References page to include the links where you found your information from
- Make use of font, color, graphics and effects to enhance the presentation.
- Make sure diorama includes the three components when it is completed: design plan, plants, and tools in addition to the descriptions.
- Work with the nutritionist and tool manager to gather the information and incorporate into the presentation.
Designer
The designer will:
- Sketch a floor plan of the garden
- Use a shoe box to create a diorama.
- Use craft supplies to design the
- Background art of the box
- Construct six raised garden beds
- And prepare the box for the specimens and tools
- Work with the nutritionist to indicate where the different plant specimens will be placed.
- Work with the tool manager to indicate where the different tools will be placed.
Nutritionist
The nutritionist will:
- Compile specimens of the plants.
- Write a 2-3 sentence description of what the plant is and its health benefit
- Work with the designer to incorporate plant specimens onto diorama
- Work with the project leader to incorporate information onto the PowerPoint presentation.
Tool manager
The tool manager will:
- Construct 10 small sized garden tools to include in the garden.
- Write a 2-3 sentence description of what the tool is and its importance to the garden.
- Work with the designer to incorporate the small sized garden tools onto the diroma.
- Work with the project leader to incorporate information onto the PowerPoint presentation.
